On Thursday, June 20, 2019, a Class B AM serving Reading, Pa., on the brink of death was saved by Bob Lowe, whose Twilight Broadcasting agreed to purchase the facility from the Reading Eagle Company.
Now, Lowe is parting ways with the station.
WEEU-AM 830 in Reading is being sold to Treese Media Group, a 50/50 partnership between John and Kristine Treese, who reside in Schwenksville, Pa.
With Davina Sashkin of Wilkinson Barker Knauer serving as Treese’s legal counsel, the couple are spending $138,900 for WEEU.
A $7,000 escrow payment has been made to Twilight and is being held by Fidelity Abstract.
Serving as the seller’s broker is CMS Station Brokerage.
