TV can’t salvage miserable Post quarter

The Washington Post Company was actually earning money from some of its divisions Q4 2008, especially its broadcast television wing, which enjoyed an operating profit increase of 37% to $46M. But newspaper and magazine problems caused an overall net loss of 77% to $18.8M. Value write-downs were a big part of the picture.
