BOCA RATON, FLA. — Some publicly traded media company executives may be inclined to sugarcoat the struggles seen with core advertising that are forecast to continue in the coming quarters. Not so for Townsquare Media, the radio station owner focused on small and mid-sized markets that has become a “local first” leader thanks to digital and online advertising prowess.


As CEO Bill Wilson shared this morning at the BofA Securities’ Leveraged Finance Conference at a posh resort named for this Palm Beach County city, the broadcast business is in a slow, secular decline, with National advertising never coming back.
