A pair of licensees tied to North Carolina-based Curtis Media Group have agreed to spin a pair of AM radio stations, and one FM translator, to another media company operating in the state.

Triad Media Partners is agreeing to purchase WMFR-AM 1230 in High Point, N.C., and FM translator W283CV at 104.5 MHz in High Point from Crescent Media Group.

Concurrently, Triad intends to purchase WPCM-AM 920 in Burlington-Graham, N.C., from Carolina Radio Group.

Both of the sellers are controlled by Donald Curtis.

The transaction is valued at $925,000, of which $25,000 cash will be paid at closing. The remainder will be honored via a Promissory Note.

Terms of the deal also call for Curtis to modify the WPCM transmission facilities and
construct the facility for Triad’s WSML-AM 1200 in Graham as specified in a pending construction permit application at the FCC (File No. BP-20211007AAH).

At closing, Triad will initiate a tower site lease for WMFR and W285EU. Rent is $500 per month.

Triad is led by Chuck Marsh and is headquartered in Elon, N.C.
