Starting June 29, Tregg White will have instant access to Sabino Canyon hikes and meals at El Charro Café.
White is heading to Tucson to lead The E.W. Scripps Co.‘s two stations in the southern Arizona market, and will be heading there from Wyoming.
In Tucson, White will have oversight of KGUN-9 and KWBA-58, Scripps’ ABC and CW affiliates in the market, respectively.
White has over 20 years of experience in news, sales and station management, and until now has been GM of Gray Television’s KGWN-5 in Cheyenne; and KNEP-4 & KSTF-10 in Scottsbluff, Neb.
“Tregg is a seasoned broadcast leader whose experience leading teams across both sales and news divisions will help drive continued growth for KGUN and KWBA,” said Local Media President Brian Lawlor. “We know he’ll be a tremendous asset to the company and to the Tucson community, and we welcome Tregg to Scripps.”
White launched his career as a reporter and weekend anchor in North Platte, Neb.
He said of his new role, “Whether it’s solving for a new sales product or breaking news in the Tucson community, I look forward to working together to serve our local audiences in new ways. My family and I are excited to call Tucson home.”
White is a member of the National Association of Broadcasters Broadcast Leadership Training Class of 2020.
