An Idaho “kid” has gained a way to reach listeners who enjoy skiing at a Montana winter resort near Yellowstone National Park.
To the west, near Sacramento, an independent community-based noncomm has snagged a translator.

- K222CJ at 92.3 MHz is a translator serving Big Sky, Mont., and its eponymous ski resort. The facility is presently dark, and it’s just been traded from seller Chris Nelson to buyer Ted Austin. Nelson owes Austin some $6,685 for various services performed by Austin, and this is the value of the deal, along with debt forgiveness agreed upon by the two parties. The translator will soon rebroadcast RP Broadcasting’s News/Talk KOUW-FM 102.9, licensed to Island Park, Idaho. This facility largely covers Yellowstone National Park and rebroadcasts Rich Broadcasting Class B KID-AM 590 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
- Nevada County Broadcasters has sold K289BM at 105.7 MHz in Grass Valley, Calif., to Nevada City Community Broadcast Group — owner of noncommercial KVMR-FM 89.5 in Nevada City — for $15,000.
