A Class D AM covering nearly all of the Constitution State has been dealt to a new owner in a deal valued at $648,000.

The station is WRYM-AM 840, a 1kw day/125 night facility licensed to New Britain, Conn. WRYM has a directional nighttime signal pattern utilizing two towers; WRYM uses one tower during daylight hours.

WRYM’s seller is Eight Forty Broadcasting Corp. and RMS Realty LLC, and the buyer is Parthenon Holdings LLC and Trignition Media LLC.

The buyer has made a $25,000 escrow deposit to agent Kozacko Media Services, which represented the buyer in this transaction.

The seller was represented by Frank Boyle of Frank Boyle & Co.

WRYM airs a Full Service Spanish-language that mixes Tropical music with sports talk programming and news updates, and is billed as “La Gigante” (The Giant). With a heavy listener base of first-generation Latinos, the lineup includes talk shows focused on immigration. Sundays see a mix of ethnic programming that includes an hourly Polish show, followed by a two-hour Italian program.

Trignition and Parthenon own one other property – New Britain-based W297BT, an FM translator at 107.3 MHz. This translator moved from Long Lake, N.Y., following FCC approval granted in mid-July.

Meanwhile, another New England AM is trucking in a translator from out of state.
