USA Radio Networks Makes A Quad City Investment

Floyd Brown’s USA Radio Networks produces and distributes conservative talk shows and Christian teaching programming across the U.S.

It’s now the owner of an FM translator that is relocating some 35 miles to the Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois. However, RBR + TVBR has learned that USA Radio Networks has not yet determined what it will do with the facility, which is tied to a top iHeartMedia station.

In documents made public Wednesday (Oct. 5) by the FCC, USA Radio Networks owner Liftable Media — a Phoenix-area conservative-focused digital media content company — said it has agreed to acquire K296GZ  from Clark Parrish’s Edgewater Broadcasting for $35,000.

K296GZ is presently dark; its in the process of a 35-mile move from Muscatine, Iowa to Bettendorf, Iowa — one of the Quad Cities found along the Mississippi River.

Once up and running, the translator will run an HD multicast station fed from iHeartMedia’s Country WLLR-FM 103.7.

While USA Radio Networks is known for syndicated Trending Today USA with Rusty Humphries, USA Radio News, and the Angie Austin-hosted morning talk program Daybreak USA, COO Fred Weinberg tells RBR +TVBR that the company has not decided what to do with the translator.

He explains, “We bought it as an investment. We may have a place for it, and we may not.”
