The Regional VP of Sales for Townsquare Media‘s Northeast Region, who also serves as VP/Sales for New Hampshire, has just been elevated to the role of Regional Market President for the company’s Augusta and Portland, Me.; and Portsmouth, N.H., properties.
The move comes as the person who had been in the role relocates to New Jersey’s state capital, to lead one of the nation’s most successful commercially licensed spoken-word FMs.
Why? The person last in charge of “New Jersey 101.5” is going to the Big Apple.
Christine Sieks takes the Northern New England Regional Market President role, continuing in her RVP/Sales role.
For Brian Lang, he is now Market President and Chief Revenue Officer for WKXW-FM “New Jersey 101.5.”
Townsquare SVP of Local Media said of Lang, “Brian has distinguished himself as a leader since joining Townsquare in 2014. When the opportunity arose, Brian was the natural choice to lead the exceptional team at New Jersey 101.5, which represents the best in live and local media.”

Lang is replacing Ron deCastro, who will depart Townsquare at the end of April to become New York Market President for the Jeff Smulyan-led partnership between Emmis Communications and Soohyung Kim’s Standard General — MediaCo.
This will see deCastro oversee Hip-Hop WQHT-FM “Hot 97” and Urban WBLS-FM 107.5 in New York.
DeCastro starts his new role on May 4. Before taking over “New Jersey 101.5,” he led sales teams at CBS Radio in New York; Clear Channel in Philadelphia and New York (including Urban WWPR-FM “Power 105.1”; and held roles at Barnstable Broadcasting’s stations in the Nassau-Suffolk market.
