The stations serving Nassau and Suffolk Counties on New York’s Long Island owned by Connoisseur Media have a new Station Manager — an individual tasked with becoming “the bridge for programming, sales, promotions, and operations.”

Who’s getting promoted from within at the fast-growing company led by Jeff Warshaw?

Look no further than Director of Sales Darren DiPrima.

“With a distinguished career in the media industry, Darren has earned the respect of both clients and staff alike,” the company said in an announcement distributed Friday. “Known for his calm approach under pressure and quick, thoughtful decision-making, he has consistently delivered results while fostering strong relationships across the business.”

DiPrima reports to Kristin Okesson, General Manager for Connoisseur Media’s Long Island and Southern Connecticut stations. “This was an obvious next step for Darren and the Long Island cluster,” she said. “We needed this position, he was built for this position, and I have full confidence this promotion will further Darren’s success — and the success of our Long Island cluster — where he is so well loved.”

DiPrima added, “I’m excited to expand my role, focus on what I do best, and continue working closely with our advertisers. I’m grateful for this opportunity and look forward to serving our team, listeners and business partners in new ways.”

Concurrently, OM Patrick Shea is adding the role of Director of Technical Systems for both the Long Island and Connecticut clusters. He’ll work closely with local engineers and IT staff, and act as a go-to leader for systems integration, automation and technical operations across the clusters.
