Cumulus Media has appointed veteran media executive Tom Stemlar to Vice President/Market Manager for its three-station cluster in Indianapolis. Stemlar joins Cumulus from Bonten Media Group in New York City, where he was Senior Vice President, Sales, based in Indianapolis. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President, Sales, for Indianapolis’ Emmis Television, a division of Emmis Communications. Stemlar previously built an 11-year career with Katz Continental Television, where he was Vice President/Director of Sales, having worked his way up from Account Executive in Chicago and Sales Manager in Dallas. He holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa.
