Thursday CSRIC Gathering Affirmed By FCC

The FCC’s Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council (CSRIC) will
meet Thursday, December 13, 2018, beginning at 1:00 p.m., in the Commission Meeting
Room at FCC Headquarters, located at 445 12th Street, SW, Room TW-C305, Washington, DC.


At the meeting, CSRIC members will consider and vote on an Amendment to the
previously approved Working Group 2 Report on a Comprehensive Re-imagining of Emergency Alerting; a Working Group 2 Report on Security Aspects of Emergency Alerting System (EAS); and an Addendum to the previously approved Working Group 3 Report on Best Practices and Recommendations to Mitigate Security Risks to Emerging 5G Wireless Networks. Working Group 1 will provide an update on their progress.

The CSRIC meeting is open to the public. The FCC will accommodate as many
attendees as possible; however, admittance will be limited to seating availability. The
Commission will also provide audio and/or video coverage of the meeting over the Internet from the FCC’s web page.
