A trio of FM radio stations in the Rocky Mountain State are poised to see a change in its owner roster, due to the death of one of its key equity interest holders.
Filing the paperwork for Three Eagles Communications Is Francisco Montero of Fletcher, Heald and Hildreth.
The application was filed with the FCC to report the death of Rolland C. Johnson,
resulting in a pro-forma involuntary transfer of control of licensee Three Eagles
Communications of Colorado LLC.
This impacts the future ownership interest holders in the following stations:

Three Eagles is controlled by two trusts —the Rolland C. Johnson Trust and the Paula
Johnson Trust. Each trust holds 45% of the equity of Three Eagles. The remaining 10%
equity is held by Gary M. Buchanan.
Prior to Mr. Johnson’s death, he and his wife Paula Johnson were each co-trustees of each of the two trusts. Mr. Johnson and Mrs. Johnson each had full control of each trust.
Upon Mr. Johnson’s death, while Mrs. Johnson continues to have full control of both Trusts, that control is now exclusively held by Mrs. Johnson.
There are no separate versions of the agreements effectuating a transfer from Mr. Johnson to Mrs. Johnson: the transfer is made pursuant to the terms of the existing Trust agreements.
The Commission previously approved the qualifications of Mrs. Johnson.
