OK, so puns aren’t our thing.

But, we can say that KEES-AM, a radio station in Texas, is being transferred to a new owner.

For $125,000, KEES-AM 1430 in Gladewater, Tex., and FM translator K243CU at 96.5 MHz in Longview, Tex., has been sold by Salt of the Earth Broadcasting.

The buyer is the non-profit Hispanic broadcast ministry La Promesa Foundation, which has received a $6,250 deposit. It is being held by legal counsel Dennis J. Kelly.

The remainder is to be paid in cash at closing.

John W. Saunders is the exclusive broker in this transaction.

La Promesa is also the licensee of KWWJ-AM in Baytown, and KGLD-AM in Tyler, Tex.
