“The Doctors” renewed for 2nd season

CBS Television Distribution has renewed its hit freshman talk show, The Doctors, for a second season, it was announced by Joe DiSalvo, President of Sales for CBS Television Distribution. The Doctors is cleared in 95% of the country for a second year, including stations from CBS Television Stations, Gannett Broadcasting, Cox Television, Scripps Howard Broadcasting, Belo, Post-Newsweek and LIN Television.


“Over the last few months, The Doctors has built a tremendous amount of momentum thanks to Jay McGraw and his team’s creative direction,” DiSalvo said. “Not only has the show steadily grown in the ratings, but the stations have  enthusiastically supported it.  It wasn’t a hard decision to give it a firm go for next year. We hope The Doctors will be part of the CTD family for years to come.”    

The Doctors is the highest-rated new talk show in syndication, growing +46% from its September premiere week to a 1.9 HH AA% rating for the week ending 11/ 23.
