Acting as Limited Purpose Fiduciary, Kalil & Co.’s Frank Higney found a buyer for television stations serving the top two Texas markets. The buyer is Alta-backed Una Vez Mas Texas Holdings LLC.

The stations include KNWS-TV Katy TX, serving the Houston Nielsen DMA, and KLDT-TV Lake Dallas TX, serving the Dallas-Fort Worth Nielsen DMA. Una Vez Mas, headed by Terry Crosby and Randy Nonberg, will pay $9M for the Houston station and $5.825M for the Dallas station.

The seller is Johnson Broadcasting Inc., acting under the watchful eye of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division.

Una Vez Mas is no stranger to the television business – according to Kalil, it has 37 television stations throughout the nation, many of which are low powers and Class As.
