Telemundo's 'La Reina Del Sur' averaged over 2.8 million total viewers

Novela Reaches 10 million Viewers Since its Premiere Averaging More Than 2.8 Million Total Viewers on Week 2.
Telemundo’s “La Reina Del Sur” averaged over 2.8 million total viewers (persons 2+) Monday through Friday for the telenovela’s second week on air according to Nielsen national audience estimates, beating all English language networks Monday-Friday 10-11pm among Adults 18-34 and positioning Telemundo as the #1 network regardless of language among Men 18-34.
 “La Reina del Sur” out-performed its premiere week ratings across all key demographics averaging over 2.8 million total viewers (persons 2+) (2,869,000), a +4% increase over its first week (2,746,000) and Reina has reached 10 million viewers since its premiere.
In its second week, 1,872,000 Adults 18-49 tuned in to “La Reina del Sur,” +7% week-over-week growth (1,756,000). The telenovela also grew among all key demos: Women  18-49, 883,000 vs. 882,000 (+1.000 impressions); Men 18-49, 988,000 vs. 874,000 (+13%); Adults 18-34, 1,085,000 vs. 991,000 (+10%);  Women 18-34, 484,000 vs. 467,000 (+4%) and Men 18-34, 601,000 vs. 524,000 (+15%).
For the month of March 2011, Telemundo’s Monday through Friday prime time programming is up +40% over February 2011 (872,000 vs. 621,000) and up +34% over March 2010 (650,000).
The second week of “La Reina del Sur” tied for #1 in Los Angeles, ranked #1 New York and Miami and #2 in Houston, across all stations regardless of language, among Adults 18-49.
Among Spanish-language networks “La Reina del Sur” tied for #1 in Los Angeles, ranked #1 in New York, Miami and Chicago, and #2 in Houston, Dallas and San Francisco for Adults 18-49. The telenovela went up from the prior week in Los Angeles and New York by 4%, Dallas by 16%, Chicago by 6% and San Francisco by 20% among Adults 18-49 and Las Vegas 6% among households.

Telemundo’s mobile and digital platforms have continued to surge in week 2. The “La Reina del Sur” website on has generated 10.2 million page views, 435,000 unique users and a total of 2.4 million video streams to date. On mobile, the “La Reina del Sur” site generated 763,000 unique users and 115,000 page views. The telenovela’s Facebook page has grown to over 20,000 fans and over 5,000 followers on Twitter. “La Reina del Sur” has doubled’s daily page views and unique users since its premiere.

The telenovela has increased’s month over month growth by +26% in unique users, +38% in page views and +38% in video streams.
