The Assistant News Director of the FOX affiliate serving most of the Constitution State is being promoted to News Director for not only that TEGNA property, but for its sibling associated with The CW Network.
Earning the promotion at WTIC-61 and WCCT-20 in the Hartford-New Haven market is Dana Rosengard, Ph.D.
Rosengard, who holds a Ph.D. in mass communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, arrived at WTIC-61 in September 2022 and has experience as a producer, reporter and news anchor in such markets as Burlington-Plattsburgh, Boston and Providence.
Before coming to WTIC-TV, Rosengard spent five years as Managing Editor at TEGNA-owned “News Center Maine” in Bangor.
On the collegiate level, Rosengard served as a college professor for more than 20 years, leading student newscasts at Lyndon State College in Vermont; the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; the University of Oklahoma; and Suffolk University in Boston.
”Dana’s experience and journalistic skills have had a positive impact on our news product since his arrival last year,” said WTIC & WCCT President/GM Humberto Hormaza. “I am confident he will continue to provide that leadership in his new role leading Connecticut’s News Station.”
