TEGNA’s Denver television station branded as “9NEWS” will continue as the “Hometown Television Partner” of the city’s National Football League franchise.

The Denver Broncos agreed to a multi-year extension with KUSA-TV, in a deal announced on Tuesday.

In prepared comments, Broncos President Damani Leech commented, “9NEWS has been a valued partner of the Broncos for the last 14 years, and we couldn’t be more excited to renew and extend this partnership as the club’s Hometown Television Partner. As the media landscape continues to evolve, 9NEWS has done a consistent job of keeping Broncos Country informed. They are committed to delivering engaging and impactful football content to Coloradans, including top-tier preseason broadcasts and exclusive programming.”

KUSA-TV has served as the Broncos’ flagship television station since 2011, and airs pre-season games along with shoulder programming including “Broncos Huddle,” “Game Day Live,” and “Broncos Tonight,” as well as quarterly Broncos specials.

“9NEWS is proud to extend our long-standing partnership with the Denver Broncos as their hometown television partner,” said Mark Cornetta, President and General Manager of KUSA-9. “For more than a decade, we’ve worked together to bring Broncos fans exclusive coverage, in-depth analysis, and high-quality programming. We look forward to continuing to deliver exceptional Broncos content, including preseason games and unique local shows, to our viewers across Colorado.”

According to TEGNA, more information regarding Broncos programming on “9NEWS” will be released as soon as it’s finalized.
