TEGNA’s connected TV and over-the-top local ad platform, Premion, has achieved “TAG Platinum” status by achieving three different certifications from the Trustworthy Accountability Group, a global certification program focused on “safety and transparency” in digital advertising.
The certifications include recertification of a Brand Safety Certified (BSC) Seal and a Certified Against Fraud (CAF) Seal, while Premion is now earning the Certified Against Malware (CAM) Seal from TAG.
Established by the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s), the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), and the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), TAG’s seal programs are focused on minimizing fraudulent traffic, sharing threat intelligence, protecting brand safety, and enabling transparency.
“Premion’s achievements demonstrate its dedication to maintaining the highest standards in protecting brand safety, fighting malvertising and reducing ad fraud,” said Mike Zaneis, CEO of TAG. “Premion’s new Platinum Status demonstrates their ongoing commitment to protecting advertisers and partners and going above and beyond to adopt and lead with industry best practices. Their ongoing efforts have further strengthened trust and safety across the entire digital advertising ecosystem.”
