Synergy to Sell KQLZ

SoldTodd Mohr-led Synergy Broadcast North Dakota, LLC has filed paperwork at the FCC to sell a North Dakota FM.

KQLZ(FM) is licensed to Beulah, N.D., which is in the northwestern region of the state.

Dickinson-Belfield Broadcasting Corporation is the buyer, led by company president Stephen Marks.

He has an attributable interest in 23 other stations, three of those are TV facilities.

It’s interesting to note the seller also owns KLTQ(FM), New England, N.D., a little over 70 miles from Beulah.

Synergy says the FCC’s city of license data on both stations is wrong, that they should be swapped.

According to the paperwork, the parties agree the city of license for KQLZ should be changed to New England, N.D., once the deal closes.

The price for KQLZ is $70,000. At closing the buyer will deliver $30,000 cash. The $40,000 balance will be covered by a promissory note of $1,333.33 monthly payments for 30 months.
