Sunrise snags two in upstate New York

Joerg Klebe is doubling his radio station portfolio, adding to an AM-FM combo in the Newburgh-Middletown NY area, but the two stations he’ll be adding amount to a territorial expansion – they don’t share contour with either his existing stations or each other, for that matter.

The seller is James T. Morley’s PF Radio LLC. He’ll pick up $321.2K for the stations, with 10% of that amount deposited in advance and the rest payable in cash at closing.

What Klebe’s Sunrise Broadcasting Corporation will be getting for the cash is WTSX-FM Lehman Township PA and WDLC-AM Port Jervis NY.

The change in ownership does not figure to be very noticeable to people in the vicinity of the stations. Klebe has been operating them in a TBA for over six years, going back to 1/31/05.

The existing combo in the Sunrise portfolio consists of WGNY-AM and WJGK-FM, both licensed to Newburgh.
