It was a great day to be a media company on Wall Street, as Townsquare Media surged 8.6%, to $9.65, on word that a one-time stock option repricing program is a go.
Sinclair Broadcast Group climbed 3.1%, to $34.55, while Nexstar Broadcast Group shares rose 2.9%, to $65.35.
The Walt Disney Co. also enjoyed a big day, jumping 2.1%, to $103.38.
There were few decliners. But, Nielsen was the big goat on Thursday, dipping 1.7%, to $41.99.
The RBR Radio Index rose 11.929, or 1.86%, to 654.674.
The TVBR Television Index rose 19.823, or 2.02%, to 1,001.247.
