Wall Street was watching Washington Thursday as Congress worked on details of a financial industry regulation bill – and worries about that bill sent financial stocks lower. Also, some major retailers issued some disappointing forecasts to add to the gloom. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 146 points, or 1.4%, to 10,153. Bad news from retailers is bad news for broadcasters, so radio and TV stocks fell.
The RBR Radio Index was down 4.366, or 1.3%, to 345.466.
The TVBR Television Index was down 5.433, or 2.7%, to 198.364.
