Wall Street’s Happy New Year surge of Monday disintegrated on Tuesday. Traders were encouraged by the Fed’s release of minutes from its December meeting – which held no surprises – but there wasn’t really anything to get the market excited. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished with a gain of 20 points, or 0.2%, to 11,691, but the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were both lower. Broadcasting stocks were also lower.
The RBR Radio Index was down 4.836, or 1.4%, to 345.460.
The TVBR Television Index was down 3.812, or 1.7%, to 225.317.
