Stocks jump on easing Fed worries, upbeat data

Stocks rallied on Thursday, with the S&P 500 index marking its best day in five months, bolstered by upbeat economic data and a late-session report in The Wall Street Journal that eased worries about the Federal’s monetary policy. After falling as much as 41 points, the Dow rose as much as 207, and finished at 15,176.08, up 180.85 points, or 1.2%.


The RBR Radio Index was up 11.410, or 1.8%, to 639.836.

The TVBR Television Index was up 63.594, or 10.6%, to 662.325.
