The killing of Osama bin Laden gave an early boost to stock prices, but traders quickly figured out that eliminating the terrorist leader didn’t really have much economic impact and stock prices slipped a little based on high valuations from the recent run-up. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished down three points at 12,807. Broadcasting stocks also gave up some of their recent gains.

The RBR Radio Index was down 9.600, or 2.3%, at 403.029.
