Retransmission revenue — the fees local TV stations receive from pay-TV distributors, giving them the right to retransmit the station’s broadcast content — experienced a significant growth slowdown in 2022.
That said, growth is the story for the next two years — even as the pay-TV subscriber numbers are forecast to decline over that same period, S&P Global Ratings data show.
