A non-commercial FM license set in the community of Ipswich SD came into the portfolio of Church Planters of America in a merger with another religious organization. Now its headed for yet another owner.
The station is KAJF-FM, and it’s a Class A well to the left of the dial at 88.5 MHz, with 100 W @ 10’. The FCC database currently lists it not as a CP but as licensed but silent.
Church Planers of America acquired it, along with three other CPs, in a cash-free merger with Shining Light Ministries in 2010. CPA is headed by William Danny Hawkins.
The buyer is Agnus Dei Communications Inc., headed by Kevin Culhane. ADC says it plans to run Catholic-oriented programming, including material from EWTN.
The price will be $45K, with $4.5K in earnest money, $10K cash at closing and a promissory note for the remaining $30.5K.
