In early February, RBR+TVBR reported on the dissolution of a partnership that saw two individuals join to form Fusion Radio LLC.
Now, one of the FM translators owned by that entity is being sold, according to the media broker that got the deal done.
For $460,000, Fusion Radio, an entity that saw Rob Austin, a.k.a. Robert Jamrog, shed his 50% interest in the licensee, is spinning K295CQ at 106.9 MHz in St. Louis.
However, Jamrog will most certainly benefit financially from the sale, likely engineered as part of his plan to hand Patricia Anderson-Kimble full control of Fusion Radio, which will retain ownership of W277BIat 103.3 MHz in Toledo, Ohio.
The buyer of K295CQ is Roberts Metro Broadcasting Inc., which sees Michael V. Roberts as the principal owner and Lou Thimes Jr., a long-time air personality and programmer, also involved.
George Kimble of Kozacko Media Services served as the exclusive broker in the transaction.
Jamrog has gained notice for his role at JamTraxx Media, known for its dance-oriented programming and mix show syndication.
K295CQ has of late been associated with VSiN affiliate WGNU-AM. It was acquired by Jamrog (a.k.a. Austin) in June 2021 for $125,000 from Bert Kaufman.
The FM translator holds a construction permit allowing it to relocate to 94.1 MHz. Even with just 99 watts, the change would give near city-grade coverage for K295CQ.
