A Class A FM covering Dade City and rural Central Florida city Ridge Manor is about to get a change in programming. This will see the conclusion of Christian Talk and Teaching programming and the arrival, pending FCC approval, of programming from the entity behind “Michigan’s Positive Hits.”
Superior Communications, which operates the “Smile FM” Christian Contemporary Music brand, is acquiring WKFA-FM 89.3 in St. Catherine, Fla., from Florida Public Radio Inc.
Despite the seller’s name, WKFA rebroadcasts WPIO-FM in Titusville, and is a non-secular operation.
A $65,000 purchase price has been agreed to by the parties; President Ed Czelada signed off on the agreement for Superior.
Equipment includes a Nautel VS1 and a PS 3 Bay vertical antenna.
