He’s been the Chairman and President/CEO of Skyview Networks, the national radio advertising organization, since April 2019, and before that spent many years at the former ABC Radio enterprise, starting as a News Writer for ABC News Radio in 1986.

Now, he’s taking on full ownership of Skyview, Streamline Publishing has confirmed.

According to an internal memo received by Radio + Television Business Report, a “meaningful milestone” for Skyview Networks has transpired. Namely, the company has officially completed an ownership transition, with Steve Jones assuming full leadership of the company, effective immediately.

“This transition further strengthens [Skyview’s] long-term direction and [a] focus that ensures continuity,” he said. “Our leadership team will continue exemplifying our company values, and our day-to-day priorities remain centered on client outcomes, operational excellence and teamwork.”

In his note to staff, Jones acknowledged Ken Thiele, who founded Skyview Networks three decades ago. He then shared a message to Skyview employees from Theile, which reads:

Skyview Networks exists, and is respected across the industry, because of the talent, grit and customer commitment each of you bring every day. Since joining Skyview Networks, Steve has expanded our business portfolio and led with a steady focus on growth and stability. It is with this confidence in leadership that Skyview’s trajectory and momentum continues.

Jones expressed that he is grateful to Thiele “for his trust and vision over the past seven years” while Skyview shareholders Diana Chamberlain and Dave Dickson were thanked for their support throughout this process. They will remain involved with Skyview Networks in an advisory capacity.

Jones’ equity stake in Skyview also follows the departure of Jeanne-Marie Condo-Bucknell, who exited in April 2025 as part of an organizational shift.
