Sixteen AGs Express ‘Great Concern’ Over AM Elimination Decisions

WASHINGTON, D.C. —  Attorneys general from 16 states have written to the Electric Drive Transportation Association and the Zero Emission Transportation Association expressing “great concern regarding the decision of many of your members to eliminate AM radios in electric cars.”


Leading the effort — Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, who gained the signatures of the AGs from Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Virginia, and West Virginia.

“In light of the essential role AM radio play in the safety and well-being of Americans across the country, we urge your members to reconsider the decisions to eliminate AM radio in electric cars,” the attorneys general tell the EDTA and ZETA groups.
