A trio of executors representing two license companies and four stations have found a buyer. The buyer already has a pair of stations in the area, and the result will be a 3-AM 3-FM cluster.
The stations are in unrated territory in the south central portion of the state.
The nearest rated territory is Huntsville AL, located further south.
The stations include WDXE-FM Lotetto TN and WKSR-AM Pulaski TN, licensed to Pulaski Broadcasting; and WDXE-AM/WKSR-FM Lawrenceville TN, licensed to Lakewood Communications.
The buyer already owns WWLX-AM/WLLX-FM Lawrenceburg TN.
The sellers are Geraldine V. Lake, Steven C. Lake, David C. Lake, Executors for the license companies.
The buyer is Radio 7 Media LLC, headed by Managing Member Roger Wright with a 70% interest. Janet Wright, Kevin Wright and Charlotte Stremler each hold a 10% interest.
The price is $1,335,000. The buyer has put down a deposit of $325,000, will pay $175,000 in cash at closing, strike a five-year promissory note worth $700,000 and make a final payment of $135,000 on the 61st month after closing.
$785,000 is allocated to the Lakewood stations (WDXE-AM/WKSR-FM) and $550,000 is allocated to the Pulaski stations (WKSR-AM/WDXE-FM).
Radio 7 has been running WDXE-FM under an LMA since 4/13/15 for a monthly rental fee of $2,000.
