John Sisty Enterprises has an agreement to sell an AM, FM and FM translator in Alabama.
WTBC(AM) is licensed to Tuscaloosa, as is the FM translator while WNPT-FM is licensed to Marion.
Townsquare Media is the buyer. Since the company already owns 4 FMs and an AM in the market, Townsquare intends to divest WDGM(FM), Greensboro, Alabama.
The price is $550,000 cash. Townsquare is to pay a $100,000 deposit to be placed in escrow until closing and the $450,000 balance on that date.
The group owner intends to use the translator as a fill-in translator within the primary station’s protected contour and a 25-mile radius centered at the WTBC transmitter site.
WTBC is a Class C unlimited, non-DA AM. It transmits 1,000 watts from a single tower and operates on 1230 kHz.
WNPT is a Class C2 FM with an ERP of 24,000 watts @ 663’ HAAT. It operates on 102.9 MHz.
