Sinclair Broadcast Group has chosen the individual who will succeed company sales veteran Dan Mellon, who retired on July 31.
It’s an individual with more than 25 years of experience in the broadcast and cable industry.
Rising to the role of SVP/Sales Transformation is Daniel J. Hoffman.
He reports to President of Broadcast and Chief Advertising Revenue Officer Rob Weisbord and will lead the company’s data and technology integration into the sales process.
Hoffman joined Sinclair in 2013, and he’ll keep his duties as Group Manager, which sees him maintain operational oversight of more than 15 Sinclair properties.
“As Sinclair continues to grow, our sales strategy and data analytics technology will continue to evolve, and I am looking forward to creating opportunities to better serve both our internal and external customers and assist them in their revenue goals,” Hoffman said in prepared remarks.
Prior to joining Sinclair Broadcast Group, Hoffman served as Vice President of Sales for the former Granite Broadcasting. He has also held positions at Gray Television, Nexstar, and at former TV station owner Emmis Communications. Hoffman started his career in the cable industry as an Account Executive for Tele-Communications Inc. in Erie, Pa.
