A “comprehensive, multi-year agreement” is now in place that prevents any Sinclair Inc. from engaging in a “Great Affiliate Swap” for the foreseeable future.
The Baltimore-headquartered broadcast TV station owner successfully renewed a new agreement with NBCUniversal that keeps station affiliation agreements in place for Sinclair’s 21 stations carrying NBC network programming.
The NBC affiliates owned by Sinclair are:
- WOAI-TV in San Antonio
- KSNV-TV in Las Vegas
- WJAR-TV in Providence, R.I.
- WNWO-TV in Toledo, Ohio
- WSTM-TV in Syracuse
- WCYB-TV in Johnson City-Kingsport-Bristol
- WTWC-TV in Tallahassee, Fla.
- WJAC-TV in Johnstown-Altoona, Pa.
- WPBN-TV & WTOM-TV in Traverse City-Cadillac, Mich.
- KCFW-TV & KECI-TV in Missoula, Mont.
- WTOV-TV in Wheeling-Steubenville, Ohio
- KTVM-TV and KDBZ-CD in Butte-Bozeman, Mont.
The NBC affiliations were also renewed by Sinclair partners in five markets that Sinclair provides sales and other services to under a joint sales agreement or master service agreement. This includes Cunningham Broadcasting Group-owned KRNV-TV in Reno, Nev.; Deerfield Media’s WPMI-TV in Mobile-Pensacola; Howard Stirk Holdings’ WEYI-TV in Flint-Saginaw-Bay City, Mich.; MPS Media’s WNBW-TV in Gainesville-Ocala; and Roberts Media’s KMTR-TV, KMCB-TV and KTCW-TV in Eugene-Springfield, Ore.
“We look forward to continuing our decades-long partnership with Sinclair,” said Phil Martzolf, President of Affiliate Relations at NBCUniversal.
