Season-finale 'The Biggest Loser' 4th place NBC

From 8-10 p.m. ET, the finale of “The Biggest Loser: Couples” (3.1/8 in 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall) delivered the show’s weightiest 18-49 rating in 16 weeks (since February 1) and biggest overall audience in nine weeks (since March 22), despite competition last night from Fox’s “American Idol” and “Glee,” ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” and CBS’s encores of “NCIS” and “NCIS: LA.”  “Biggest Loser” is up 7 percent versus one week ago in 18-49 rating (to a 3.1 from a 2.9) and up 19 percent versus two weeks ago.  In total viewers, “Biggest Loser” is up 13 percent versus one week ago  (8.083 million vs. 7.157 million) and up 16 percent versus two weeks ago (8.083 million vs. 6.961 million).    


From its first half-hour to its fourth, “Biggest Loser” grew by 38 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.6 from a 2.6) and by 28 percent or 2.0 million persons in total viewers (9.1 million vs. 7.1 million).

From 10-11 p.m. ET, “The Voice” (3.8/9 in 18-49, 8.5 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the hour in adults 18-49 and was #1 in adults, men and women 18-34 and men 18-49 among ABC, CBS and NBC ahead of the special competition of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” finale and CBS’s “NCIS” encore. 

Last night’s telecast of “The Voice” is up versus NBC’s season average in the time period prior to “The Voice” by 65 percent in 18-49 rating (3.8 vs. 2.3) and 39 percent in total viewers (8.548 million vs. 6.149 million).
