Just a week after media heavyweight Ryan Seacrest signed on with American Idol for two more seasons, The NY Times reports Clear Channel is also expected to announce that his $20-million-a-year deal there is being extended two more years, through 2015. The new contract with CC calls for Ryan to make $25 million each year.
At Clear Channel/Premiere, Seacrest hosts the daily “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” and “American Top 40 With Ryan Seacrest.”
As well, Ryan Seacrest Productions is responsible for E!’s Kardashians programming; his hosting duties on “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” and his recent deal to contribute to NBC’s Olympics coverage. CC has a minority stake in Ryan Seacrest Productions.
