Scripps Scores With Mulligan’s K.C. Return

He was an Executive Producer at “The Spot” and its NBC-affiliated sibling serving Kansas City from 2017 to 2019 and most recently served as News Director of an Allen Media Group property in the Cape Girardeau, Mo.-Paducah, Ky.-Harrisburg, Ill. DMA.


Now, he’s coming back to the Paris of the Midwest.

Jeff Mulligan has accepted the role of Station Manager for KMCI-38 “The Spot” and KSHB-41 in Kansas City, stations owned by The E. W. Scripps Co.

Mulligan assumes his new duties on September 9, and he’ll double as News Director for the two stations.

He returns to the market after leading news operations for WSIL-3, which also serves as a Marion-Carbondale, Ill.-market station,

Mulligan has also been Asst. ND for WISH-8 in Indianapolis; ND for WMBD-TV in Peoria, Ill.; and served as an executive producer at both KGO-7 in San Francisco and WDAF-TV in Kansas City.
