As the company’s shares began Friday’s trading session on the Nasdaq GlobalSelect market by resuming a steep year-to-date decline, the head of The E.W. Scripps Co. hosted its second quarter earnings call for analysts and shareholders.


For those concerned about the company’s path, Scripps President/CEO Adam Symson focused his conversation on two areas he believes make the company ripe for growth: Political advertising and live sports.
