The E.W. Scripps Co.’s two radio stations in Milwaukee have a new Director of Sales and National Sales Manager, and he’ll need to shed his Cubs jersey for some Brewers and Packers duds.

Taking the role for News/Talk WTMJ-AM 620 and Country WKTI-FM 94.5 is Bill Herriott. In his role, he will lead the revenue team for WTMJ and WKTI and will also concentrate on Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers radio networks.

Herriott was most recently GSM for Cumulus Media‘s WLS-AM 890 in Chicago.

“Bill is a dedicated, mature, battle-tested, experienced leader who knows how to accomplish goals in a very competitive marketplace – and he most certainly understands how to lead at legendary stations like ours,” said Tom Langmyer, the cluster’s VP/GM and the company’s radio division VP for News/Talk/Sports formats. “Bill has driven strong results, selling major league teams. I saw this firsthand at WGN in Chicago with the Cubs, Blackhawks and other team partners – and it will be great to see what he’ll do here with the Packers and Brewers.”

“WTMJ and WKTI are legendary brands in Wisconsin and beyond,” said Herriott. “It’s unbelievable that one opportunity combines these major stations with the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and the Milwaukee Bucks. No one offers what we can offer to our advertisers. I’m excited to join such a great group of broadcasting and marketing professionals.”

Herriott has nearly 20 years of sales leadership experience, including serving as Local Sales Manager at Tribune Media’s WGN-AM 720 in Chicago, as Director of Sports Sales for TV sibling WGN-9, and as Sales Manager at CBS Radio’s WBBM-AM 780 in Chicago.

Herriott’s first day on the job in Wisconsin is Monday, Oct. 9.

Concurrently, WKTI GSM Eric Lauer has added similar duties for WTMJ.
