The FCC’s Media Bureau has extended until August 28th the deadline for Sirius XM to enter into long-term leases with minority broadcasters for 4% of its satellite channels under the conditions of last year’s merger. The Media Bureau notes that there have been several models proposed to the Commission on how the leasing condition should be implemented, but it expects the FCC to resolve the issues shortly.
