A contract has been signed and an application is being filed with the FCC for the transfer of KGNS-TV, Laredo, TX, KGWN-TV, KSTF-DT, K19FX-D (Laramie) Cheyenne, WY and Scottsbluff, NB from SagamoreHill Broadcasting to Yellowstone Holdings for $20,500,000. The exclusive broker in the deal was Kalil & Co. of Tucson, AZ.
The sellers, SagamoreHill Broadcasting of Texas and SagamoreHill Brpadcasting of Wyoming/Northern Colorado, are part of an Augusta, GA-based company headed by Louis Wall and backed by equity sponsor Duff Ackerman & Goodrich of San Francisco. SagamoreHill also owns TV stations in Montgomery, AL, Columbus, GA, Corpus Christi, TX, Rochester, MN, Mason City, IA and Myrtle Beach, SC.
Yellowstone Holdings is a new entrant to the TV biz and is based in California.
KGNS-TV, Channels 8.0, 8.2, 8.3, are NBC, CW and Telemundo affiliates
KGWN-TV, channel 30.0 and 30.2, are CBS and CW affiliates
KSTF-DT, Channel 3, is a CBS affiliate
K19FX-D, Channel 19, is a CBS affiliate.
