A 1kw Class C AM serving the Lancaster-Palmdale, Calif., area to the north of Los Angeles is being acquired by a local operator from a Nevada LLC associated with the owner of stations along California’s Central Coast.
RZ Radio, which owns two AMs and an FM in the Antelope Valley and is affiliated with Point Broadcasting Company and associated licensees Rincon Broadcasting and Gold Coast Broadcasting, is agreeing to sell KTPI-AM 1340 in Mojave, Calif.
The buyer is Rubin Broadcasting, which intends to add KTPI to a group of broadcast properties comprised of KTOX-AM and K225DF in Needles, Calif.; KUNK-FM in Mendocino, Calif.; KMFB-FM in Fort Bragg, Calif.; and LPTV properties K10RU-D and KMBT-LD in Salinas, Calif.
A $40,000 purchase price has been agreed upon between RZ and Rubin. A $5,000 deposit is being held by The Exline Company.
The Exline Company and MCH Enterprises have jointly represented the seller in this transaction.
RZ is led by President Davy Rosenzweig, while Rubin is led by Needles-based Steven Rubin.
