If there was any good news regarding Urban One‘s first quarter 2018 financial results, it was its performance under a measure of performance that’s generally not accepted accounting principles.
Adjusted EBITDA for the media company focused on African American consumers grew 2.7%, to $28.5 million, in Q1. Company President/CEO Alfred Liggins III was pleased, as the company achieved this “despite some softness in the radio markets and ratings challenges at TV One,” its cable network.
Other than that, it was a rather dismal start to 2018 for Urban One.
