Former college football coach Rick Neuheisel, who won the Rose Bowl as both a coach and a player, has joined SiriusXM as an analyst on its 24/7 college sports channel.
He’ll host multiple shows each week on SiriusXM College Sports Nation, channel 91. He’ll make his debut Monday, June 4, on SiriusXM’s College Football Playbook (weekdays, 12:00 – 3:00 pm ET) with Jack Arute. He can also be heard hosting SiriusXM’s College Sports Today (weekdays, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm ET) with Mark Packer.
“As a coach and a player, I’ve experienced just about everything this game can throw at you and I’m excited to join the team at SiriusXM and share what I’ve learned with the fans,” said Neuheisel. “For those who love college football, the SiriusXM College Sports Nation channel is an excellent resource, and we’ve got a lot to talk about in the coming months – from the proposed BCS playoffs to the teams and players that will stand out this season.”
In his 12 years as a college head coach, with UCLA (2008-11), Washington (1999-2002) and Colorado (1995-98), Neuheisel led his teams to eight bowl game appearances. Neuheisel also spent three seasons as an assistant coach for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens, serving as quarterbacks coach in 2005 and 2006 and as offensive coordinator for the 2007 season.
