Just seven days ago, a possible “black out” due to retransmission consent negotiations between the largest TV station owner in the U.S. and one of the nation’s biggest MVPDs came to light.
Nexstar Media Group stations began offering viewer warnings, lobbing accusations at the cable TV services provider. Meanwhile, the MVPD two days later filed a formal “good faith” complaint against the licensee, which maintains a shared services agreement for a station in New York many have claimed is a de facto ownership situation.
As Monday morning began, the retrans impasse was over.
