Regional Reps Corp. has signed an exclusive agreement with Indie/Alternative WWCD-FM 102.5 (“CD101 @ 102.5”) to handle national sales. The station recently increased its coverage area after transitioning off of 101.1 mHz to the larger 102.5 mHz frequency. WWCD is now licensed to Baltimore, OH — the heritage 102.5 frequency was previously licensed to Zanesville, OH.

The original “CD101” branding was in effect from August, 1990 until June, 2010. From July 1, 2010 until December 13, 2010, WWCD simulcast on both the 101.1 and 102.5 facilities while a three-way ownership transaction between WWCD’s owner, “Fun With Radio, LLC,” WOSU Public Media, and the WHIZ Radio Group was being completed.

In announcing the partnership, GSM Leslie Edwards said, “We are thrilled to enter into a new relationship with Regional Reps.  As an independently owned and operated station, we feel that the experience, history and personal touch that the team at Regional Reps offers is a great fit for our station and the story we have to tell.  We are looking forward to a great partnership!”

Shayna Sharpe, Manger of Business Development for Regional Reps Corp. added, “It is so exciting to forge a relationship with a heritage station like WWCD-FM!  Their energy, dedication and commitment to the community make them a great partner for us.  WWCD-FM 102.5 gets it; they know their market and their audience, and know how to turn it into success for their clients.  Their unique position in the market and dedicated listeners make a great story to tell national advertisers.”

With sales offices in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and New York, Regional Reps Corp. is celebrating 55 years of Radio sales representation.
