REC Will Endorse ‘Class A10’ FM Plan, But On One Condition

It calls itself “a leading advocate for a diverse dial.” REC Networks on July 20 celebrated 40 years of focus on “citizen’s access to the airwaves,” started by Michelle Bradley as a telephone comment line.


Today, REC is a group that has championed low-power FM radio, and helped secure the passage of the Local Community Radio Act of 2010.

Now, it is speaking up about a proposal that would create a new “Class A10” FM radio station. And, it is largely in support of the plan. But, there’s a caveat this support is completely contingent upon.
